NOLA Detox and Recovery Center was developed as a direct response to the current addiction crisis ravaging through Louisiana and especially causing harm in New Orleans. The COVID-19 pandemic only escalated the seriousness of this issue as overdose numbers rose in 2020. “It truly is frightening, and quite frankly, the drugs that are available on the street are so much more dangerous than they were five or ten years ago when primarily we were seeing pain medication as the main source of opioids.
